FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the service, the rules, the guarantee and what we can and cannot do.

The service

Is JobsNorway a recruitment agency?

No. We do not recruit, place or present candidates, and we have no job listings or candidate database. JobsNorway is an independent assessment service that tells you whether you can work in Norway and what it takes for you to get there.

Will you find me a job?

No, and nobody should charge you for that. Your report describes realistic industries and job types, the official channels and the correct authorities. You take the steps yourself. We never name specific employers or arrange contact with them. Read why you should never pay for a job.

What exactly am I paying for?

A personal, independent assessment of your situation, checked before it is sent: your legal right to work, how your qualifications and CV fit, which work is realistic, the main obstacles, and a Pathway Plan with concrete next steps.

Why pay when there is information online?

General websites describe the rules in general. Your report applies them to one person: you, with your citizenship, status, education and experience. That is the difference between information and an answer.

Can I get a free assessment?

No. Individual assessments take real professional time and are never free. This website offers free general information, including a short track guide and our page on avoiding job scams.

Can an employer or recruiter pay for my assessment, or receive my profile?

No. We never receive payment from employers, recruiters or other intermediaries in connection with our customers, and we never share, sell or forward customer profiles.

The report

Which track should I choose?

The Non-EU/EEA Track is for citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA/EFTA and others whose rights depend on a permit. The EU/EEA Track is for EU/EEA/EFTA citizens and people with equivalent rights. The track depends on your legal status, not only your passport. The order page has a short guide.

I chose the wrong track. What now?

You only pay the difference to move to the right track.

Do you write or edit my CV?

No. If you have a CV, you upload it and we assess it in general terms: your skills and experience, how they match Norway's actual labour-market needs, and what Norwegian rules say about labour immigration for your occupation and country. We do not write, rewrite or edit CVs, and we do not help with job applications. If you do not have a CV, the questionnaire collects what we need.

How is my report checked?

Your information is examined, every legal assertion is checked against primary sources, uncertainty is considered and the conclusions are checked before the report is sent. Every assessment includes personal advice where relevant. Your report identifies the reviewer by name or professional role. Complex or unusual cases go to a second reviewer or are marked clearly as unresolved.

Do you use AI?

Software and AI may help us organise information, draft and check. They never replace the check, and nothing legal or factual is presented as verified until it has been checked against the primary source.

Do you verify my documents or contact the authorities for me?

No, unless your report explicitly says so. We do not claim to have verified original documents or contacted authorities. Your report states what has and has not been checked.

Can you guarantee a permit or a job?

No. Norwegian authorities make the final decisions on permits and recognition, and employers make hiring decisions. Your report is independent guidance, not a legal decision, official recognition or a guarantee.

What if the answer is “no”?

A negative assessment is just as valuable as a positive one. You will know early, and your report explains what would have to change. A negative conclusion is not grounds for a refund, because the assessment has been delivered in full.

Do I need to speak Norwegian?

It depends on your occupation and the workplace. Your report covers how important English and Norwegian are for the roles that fit you, and how language affects your career progression.

In what language and format is the report?

English, as a PDF, normally 5–10 pages depending on complexity.

Delivery, payment and privacy

How fast will I get my report?

Within 48 hours from when we have received your payment and completed questionnaire, or you get a full refund. See the 48-hour guarantee.

What information do you need from me?

Only what is necessary: citizenship(s), residence, legal status, education, experience, languages and goals, plus your CV if you have one. We do not routinely ask for passport copies or your full home address. If a document is needed, you upload it securely. One round of follow-up questions is included.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Card and PayPal. The price is fixed, one-time and shown before you pay. There are no subscriptions or success fees.

How is my personal data handled?

We collect the minimum necessary, use it only for your assessment, keep it for a fixed period and never sell or share it. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
